About Us

"What Does It Mean To Be An American?” is a free educational curriculum developed by the Mineta Legacy Project in partnership with SPICE (Stanford Program on International and Cross-Cultural Education), offering six lessons for educators, high school and college students to examine what it means to be American.

“What Does it Mean to be an American?” is a tour de force for educators...it is imperative that we teach this history and this curriculum provides the tools to get it done!

— Ignacio Ornelas Rodriguez, Ph.D., Willow Glen High School and Stanford University
